Hotel Best Western Gudauri

The owner is kind, and I appreciated the respect they showed customers. Thanks to him and to manager Alexander. The receptionists Mr. Mohammed, Mrs. Christine, and Mr. Reslan gave me excellent service, as did Mr. Kote from the kitchen.

I felt right at home here, and the welcome was so warm. IZOLDA and ANI at reception were lovely, kind, and VERY professional. The food and beverage manager was just as kind and professional. I’ll definitely come back. A big hug to everyone, and I highly recommend this place. ✍🏾

Our room hadn’t been cleaned, and when we brought it up, the staff acted like that was normal and didn’t seem concerned. On top of that, the welcome was poor, and the reception team were rude and unprofessional. They didn’t seem suited to hospitality. This wasn’t the service I’d expect from a hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Reslam and Mahmoud were genuinely friendly, kind, and helpful, and I appreciated the effort they made for us. The rest of our stay at Best Western Gudauri was mixed and disappointing in several ways, especially with two very young children along. The room was freezing. Maintenance told us the heater wasn’t working and apologized, but offered no fix. My husband asked for a screwdriver so he could try, and they handed him a knife instead. He ended up showing the staff how to get the heater working. Families shouldn’t have to deal with that. I’d also left my original iPhone charger and shampoo in the room by accident. Two days later, as we passed back through Gudauri from New Gudauri, we stopped by to ask about them. Staff said they’d only just found the shampoo, which seemed strange. Soon after, at our second hotel, we noticed the iPhone charger was missing too. It left us worried about how lost belongings are handled. The hotel has potential and some good staff, but the maintenance problems and the way our personal items were handled made the stay stressful and unsuitable for families with children.
