I spent eight nights here, and it’s the kind of place that stays with you. The hospitality from Laša and his team was phenomenal, and the food and accommodation were both great. I met people from all over the world, and it works whether you come with family or on your own. They also help arrange ski rental and daily transfers. I’ll be back next year. This place really got into my soul, and I won’t forget the experience.
The shared meals made it easy to meet other guests, and there was plenty of simple food. We stayed here in February 2017 with friends and a teenager. The location is excellent, and you can almost ski back to the lodge. The lodging is basic, with shared bathrooms and toilets, but everything was very clean. There’s a lovely terrace facing the mountains. I did miss having somewhere comfortable to sit and relax by the open fire. The owner was very nice, though the manager could work on his manners. Still, good value for money and a good experience.
The food included in our package, breakfast and dinner, was super yummy, and everything felt well organized by resort manager Mr. GIORGI. The people here are so kind and welcoming, with genuine smiles and big hearts. Mr. Giorgi was friendly and very helpful, too. I’d tell new visitors to try this #HOUSE OF THE SUN" Resort. It really felt like staying at home.
Floggie, their dog, is the cutest! The cabin was clean and had the best sunrise in Gudauri, and the food at breakfast and dinner was excellent. The two cooks were happy to work around our dietary needs and made us feel welcome. Manager Mr. Lasha went out of his way to make the stay memorable. He sorted out affordable snowboarding lessons and rentals, booked seats for our public bus to Tbilisi when it was getting crowded, and drove us wherever we needed to go, always smiling. We’ll definitely stay here again.
