We only ate at the restaurant, we didn’t stay at the hotel. A street sign led us there, and the place was basic, with just tables and chairs. When we sat down, George quickly explained that they served Georgian food only and didn’t have menus. That was how I knew we’d found a great spot. We ordered without needing to look at a menu, and I went with him to the bar. Dinner was outstanding, and George and I shared a shot of vodka. Everything about the evening was perfect.

A nice place in central Kutaisi, with clean rooms and very good WiFi. The food was decent but didn’t really stand out. There was no shower curtain or door, so the bathroom floor got wet.

We were just visiting the restaurant, not staying at the hotel. Even with other dining tips for Kutaisi from the tourist office, we chose this modest-looking, less popular place, and it turned out to be a great decision. The Georgian food was delicious, the service super friendly, and the atmosphere felt much more authentic. Hospitality was excellent too, and it cost a lot less than the other tourist-trap restaurants.

Everything had been fine until we asked reception to print our boarding passes. The man there, whose name I’ve forgotten, refused to help. He wouldn’t even turn on the computer, even though this was part of his work. We had to go all over Kutaisi looking for someone else to print the tickets. That left us with no reason to come back.

Pretty much an hotelshvili, and it does the job. It’s in the center of a rather uninteresting place that almost looks like it’s in the EU.
