Hotel Magnolia Kutaisi

We only stayed one night at the Magnolia right on the river. Apparently there are two unrelated Magnolia hotels. This one was in a superb spot beside the water and near the city center. We crossed the bridge, walked a little, and reached Central Kutaisi City Park, a lively place with shops and lots of locals. Our room was clean and fine, if nothing fancy. The balcony was great, and the beds, shower, and hairdryer were all okay. We left the windows open instead of using the air conditioner, enjoying the river breeze and its lovely sound. We skipped breakfast because we had an early flight. I’d recommend it as a good place to spend a couple of hours before flying. The airport is usually a 30-minute drive, but our taxi driver was insane and got us there in 20 minutes.

The location was pleasant and within walking distance of the city center, and I was satisfied with my stay. The hotel sits by the Rioni River and has a charming country-style feel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and had a river view, with fresh linens and towels. The receptionist was friendly, attentive, and spoke English. Guests get a 20% discount at the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast was decent, though cultural differences may mean the food doesn’t suit everyone’s taste.

The breakfast was the best of all the restaurants I tried in Georgia, the taste was soooo good. The room was spotless and well prepared, with a balcony overlooking the river. The location is superb, and the peaceful sound of the water was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel made my first impression of Georgia as good as it could be.

It’s a family business, and everyone there is humble. The place felt charming and welcoming, and everything was clean and organized. You can tell they care about quality and the guest experience. I absolutely loved it and will definitely come back. Highly recommended.
