Hotel Old Town

The hotel is old, but the location is very convenient. The staff are friendly and always ready to help, and there's a Thai restaurant where you can get breakfast. The room had a bad bed spring, very dim lighting and no way to boil water. The shower temperature kept changing too. Also, it's on the third floor, up a spiral staircase with no lift.

The hotel is in the heart of The Old Town- Kutaisi, with a shop next door. I really appreciated the à la carte breakfasts and the exceptionally polite, warm-hearted people. They arranged airport transfers both ways, and even the restaurant staff helped me with my SIM card. I visited during the Georgian holiday season. Thank you again for such a lovely stay and for all the help. I did a lot of sightseeing. I'd recommend Prometheus Cave, the Martvili Canyon, a walk through old Tbilisi, a boat tour, and the cable car for a closer look at the Mother of Georgia – Kartlis Deda. I also recommend a trip to Kutaisi. I reached the area near the Turkish border, visited the city of Mtskheta, the monastery in Gori and the cave town of Uplistsikhe, among other places. Georgia's iconic Holy Trinity Church (Cminda Sameba), at the foot of Mount Kazbek in northern Georgia, was amazing. Wonderful people and a great stay.

Such a disappointing stay. I felt scammed because the hotel didn't look like the pictures, and there were plenty of other problems too. There were three rooms for my family and friends. The showers were dirty and the sliders nearly fell off. In one room, taking a shower flooded the whole place. My pillow felt like a brick, and my bed was messy and uncomfortable. There were two strange smells I can't really describe, and one room smelled like diapers all the time. In the middle of the night there were very loud sounds, like water flowing but much noisier. I also forgot to mention there were literal HOLES IN THE WALL. The location is good, but there's no room service and the breakfast was meh. Most importantly, DON'T GO TO ROOM 9!

We paid 160GEL per night for two people and stayed four nights in October 2023. The hotel's in a great spot on a lively, beautiful cobblestone street, very central and right across from a park. From our window we could watch tourists taking pictures of the statues of the two poets. Our room was big, clean and nice. The staff weren't friendly and spoke little or no English. Breakfast was served by the neighboring Thai restaurant staff, at a restaurant we really liked, but the meal itself was frugal. The bathroom had the same issues I'd seen in other reviews: poor renovation, maintenance and cleaning. Large floor tiles were broken and the grout had come out, while the shower was covered in limescale and mold. I'd rate the stay as pretty okay. I've seen worse bathrooms even in Western Europe.
