There’s a lovely view over Kutaisi from this little hotel, including Bagrati Cathedral. It sits above the surrounding properties, and there’s a garden out back plus a rooftop terrace for hookah and drinks. The walls are fairly thin, so keep the noise down. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre, with bakeries and restaurants nearby. Breakfast in the morning is a great spread, served by warm Georgian aunties. Highly recommend.

Parking is limited, and the hotel’s up the hill from the city centre, so you’ll need strong legs or a taxi. Even so, this place stands out among hotels in its price range. The rooms are immaculate, the staff are friendly and always willing to help, and the mattresses are cozy with fitted sheets, which I rarely come across here. There are also universal US/UK/Europe electrical plugs. I could go on, but it’s clearly underrated.

The rooftop bar was amazing, and the breakfast was very good, with an espresso machine available. The room was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. It turned out to be a surprisingly nice hotel and a great experience. If you’re bringing a car, I’d call ahead to check that parking is available.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the rooftop terrace is a real highlight, just as the name suggests. Our room was what we expected, and we had no problems during the stay.
