Getting to the cabin in winter involves walking along a narrow, icy path that feels unsafe. Inside, the floors were so cold that even wearing socks made walking uncomfortable, and the heating didn’t warm the room enough. During our one-night stay at Merisi Sunrise, hot water ran out late in the evening. We tried to use the jacuzzi, but couldn’t fill the tub properly, so it was essentially unusable. We told the host and were promised it would be fixed soon. Several hours later, the water was only slightly warm, leaving the main advertised feature unusable. The hosts were rude and dismissive, and there was no real effort to fix things. Instead, the host got defensive, suggested we leave in the middle of the night, and mentioned calling the police. That felt intimidating and unnecessary at a remote mountain property with snowy, icy access roads. For what we paid, the one-night stay was far below expectations. We were disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it.

We paid 93 EUR for a night at Merisi Sunrise mountain cabin in Georgia, and it wasn’t worth the price. The place was freezing, especially the floors. Walking in socks was uncomfortable, and the disposable slippers didn’t help. That was still a smaller problem than what happened with the water. About an hour after we arrived, around 11:00 PM, the hot water ran out. The jacuzzi tub wouldn’t fill halfway, and the water didn’t even cover our feet. The owner said it should be back in about an hour. We tried again at midnight, but still had no hot water. It didn’t return until 3:00 AM, and even then it was lukewarm. When I called again, the owner insisted it was “hot,” though it wasn’t. I said this was unacceptable, and he told us we could leave and threatened to call the police. We were up in the mountains with snowy, icy roads, so leaving at night was unsafe and impossible. The owner left us without proper help. The only suggestion was heating water in a pot; we tried, but after 4 hours could only keep it lukewarm. The owner was rude, and his wife was especially unfriendly. There was no care for guests. To reach the cabin, you also have to walk on a narrow, icy, snow-covered path where it’s easy to slip and get hurt. Very bad service and conditions, and unacceptable behavior from the hosts. I absolutely don’t recommend it.

The cabin is reached by a narrow, icy path, which is dangerous in winter. Inside, it was poorly heated, with freezing floors that were uncomfortable even in socks. The slippers provided were no help. The main issue was the hot water. It stopped late in the evening, and there wasn’t enough to fill the jacuzzi properly. The water barely covered our feet. We contacted the host and were told it would be sorted out soon, but several hours passed. When the hot water finally came back, it was only warm, so we couldn’t use the jacuzzi, one of the main reasons we booked. We were very disappointed, especially given the high price for our one night at Merisi Sunrise. When we raised the problem, the host reacted aggressively instead of helping, suggested we leave during the night, and mentioned calling the police. With the cabin so remote and the roads icy and snow-covered, traveling at night felt unsafe. The hosts made no effort to resolve things, and their rude, unprofessional communication ruined the stay. We can’t recommend this accommodation.

In below-zero weather this place gets terribly cold. The heating is really poor, and even the wood doesn’t help. Hot water runs out very quickly too, so you can’t have a hot bath on the terrace. Such a disappointing place to stay in the cold season.
