The food is the standout, there was lots of it, and Lille, the matriarch of this wonderfully hospitable Georgian family, cooks it herself. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and packed lunches for hikes are all available. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, with hot water, a towel, and stunning mountain views from the bedroom. It’s just a couple of minutes’ walk from the main high street. They also have space for you to pitch a tent if you’d rather camp. Their dog Bingo is very friendly. I promise you’ll like staying here.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The food tasted good, but at 20 GEL for dinner and 15 for breakfast it was expensive compared with other places in town. They did let us use the washing machine for free. Our room had two beds: one was extremely hard, worn out, and uncomfortable, while the other was only a little better. There are no blackout curtains, so it gets bright early. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear every word as well as people snoring in the next room. It was also loud in the evening when people talked downstairs. The toilets are partly broken and keep flushing a little, which is noisy and lowers the water pressure. I had to close the toilet valve to take a shower.

The owners are nice, and there’s a comfortable balcony. Inside, the hostel is clean, with a great kitchen and public area. It’s half a mile west of the town center, though shops are nearer.

A super comfortable place run by a very welcoming, generous, and friendly family. The dog is nice too. I had an amazing experience and highly recommend it.
