The view made the walk from the town center worthwhile. It's a lovely house, though it was a bit cold because the heater was broken. We managed to stay comfortable anyway. There were stray dogs waiting outside, cute but hungry, and they followed us all the way into town. Just be ready for the cows to wake you up in the morning.
The place itself was good, but I had a serious problem with the owner. She pretended to be my tour guide's mother and sold me tickets to Tbilisi, saying she'd meet me in front of the cabin at 7:30am for the 8am bus. When nobody came by 7:40, I had to carry my luggage to the station myself. The owner never showed up and hadn't given me a bus ticket. Luckily, the bus driver knew our tour guide in Mestia, and helped us sort it out so we didn't have to pay twice. Reply to the owner, 7/8/24: This happened a long time ago and I don't want to dwell on it, but if you're saying I lied, why would I text and bother my tour guide to ask him to help? He had also warned me before this happened.
This is a new cabin on a hill outside Mastia city center, facing the center. The view is very good, and I imagine it would be especially nice in winter. The shower box is nice, though the furniture isn't new. There was no Wi-Fi access, water leaked in the toilet, and the toilet lamp wasn't reliable. Check-in was difficult because there were no instructions or information, so I had to call. It would be a problem for someone without a phone. The bedroom is upstairs on the second floor, reached by steep stairs, so older people and kids should take care.
A simple but lovely cottage with an amazing view. There's such a feeling of peace and beauty here.
The scenery is beautiful, and the owners are very friendly.
