Guest House Old Omalo

We looked around Omalo and this place lived up to its reputation. The family are lovely and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. We spent four nights, with a different excellent meal each day. The rooms were clean, the shower hot, and the upstairs balcony area had great views. Best place in Omalo for us, and the food was the best too.

We were just passing through Omalo, so didn't stay overnight, but stopped for lunch. It was one of the best meals of our Georgia trip. The food was AMAZING, especially the stuffed eggplant, the best we found in Georgia. The produce was divine, tomatoes in particular, and the shaded outdoor seating area was really cute. I'd recommend stopping here if you're in Omalo.

The family running the place is very nice, and they keep everything extremely clean. We stayed two nights, with one dinner and two breakfasts. The food was simple but delicious. They offered a room with breakfast and dinner for 90 GEL per person, which seemed like good value compared with paying for each meal separately. One small snag was that the posted Wi-Fi password didn't work. We didn't mention it because the older daughter was the only one who spoke English and was playing at the time. It might be fixable if you ask. We go to bed early, so the noise bothered us: the house isn't soundproof, and kids and other guests stayed up making a lot of noise until midnight or later. It was the weekend, so maybe we just caught a bad time. The village is fun and the family is lovely. We'd stay again, with earplugs.
