The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, and although they don’t speak English, communication was easy because their daughter manages the place and speaks English well. They can also help arrange a taxi. The location feels safe and quiet, and grocery stores, shops, and cafes are a short walk away. There’s a shared kitchen for cooking, which came in handy. With mountains all around and especially magical mornings and evenings, this was honestly one of the most beautiful and peaceful stays I’ve had in Kazbegi. I highly recommend it.

The owner accepted our last-minute booking, which was fortunate. But sometimes there was no hot water, or no water at all, and the heating didn’t work even though nighttime temperatures were below 10 degrees Celsius. We weren’t given a discount to make up for it.

There was no water before 17:00, and the heating was off even though it was 6 degrees outside. Worse, a very unfriendly and aggressive man hit me with a towel I’d used to wipe my motorcycle. This was no sign of Georgian hospitality. If you’re hoping for a nice stay, don’t book this accommodation.

The owner knew through Booking that we’d arrive at 11:20 PM, but when we got there an older man refused to let us stay because we had a dog and he said there were carpets. We’d chosen the place after selecting the “pets allowed” option. He shouted at us, threatened to beat us, and said Russians shouldn’t be allowed in Georgia. Awful hospitality. I’d look for somewhere with more reasonable owners.
