Kazbegi Hut

The hosts were kind and helpful, and the cabin had everything we needed. It was stylish and cozy, with a peaceful feel that made it easy to unwind after hiking or exploring. Waking up to Mount Kazbek right outside the window was a dream. We absolutely loved staying at Kazbegi Cabins and would come back in a heartbeat!

The biggest problem was the water. The landslide had damaged the pipeline, so there was no running water and the bathroom couldn't be used. We couldn't get an answer about when it would be fixed or whether there was another place for us to stay, so we cancelled our second night and found somewhere else. Getting there was also difficult, since the landslide blocked the usual road and we had to take a detour. The cabin is split into two separate units, and the sound carries badly between neighbors. Curtains don't close all the way either, so people walking past can see into the room. On the plus side, the view is fantastic, the nearby restaurant is great, and the place was comfortable and clean. It looked awesome at first, but the stay didn't turn out so nice.

The only real drawback was the thin wall shared with the next room. You can hear practically everything. Otherwise, the room had what I needed, and the heating came on when the evening got cold, making it cozy. The window view is incredible, and there's a delicious restaurant nearby.

It looks idyllic and the view is amazing, but the beds were poor quality and everything felt old. We were only three, so paying for a hut with nine beds made it expensive for what we needed. I'd only recommend it to a large group looking for cheap accommodation. It works well for nine people, but not so well for a small group.
