The location was great, and breakfast was good, with more variety than at other hotels. But our last night here has been miserable. We booked two rooms for three people, and there was no air conditioning in April. Maybe it’s the same in May. It was hot outside and we boiled in the rooms. Opening a window meant noise from the main road that kept us from sleeping. The reception staff and hotel employees had no solution. They kept explaining that this time of year the air conditioning is set to fan only, but the fan was very weak. Our first four nights were in a triple room, which was larger and at least okay at night, though still hot. For the remaining two nights, we had a double room with a window. It was boiling, and I couldn’t sleep. Two people in that small room was a bad idea. The double room with a fake window was better, but still hot, and only one person stayed there. The bathroom with the fake window smelled strongly of piss, and cleaning didn’t get rid of it. Don’t stay here between March and May. I’d look for a hotel with air conditioning, or one away from a main road where you can sleep with the window open.

Getting around from Aqua Hotel was easy, with the subway and bus stops just a short walk away. I truly recommend it to anyone visiting Tbilisi, it’s one of the best hotels in the city. Mr. Mahan was incredibly friendly and helpful during my stay, one of the kindest people I met in Georgia. I’m grateful to the management for having him on the team. Thanks as well to Mr. Allaa for the great coffee and warm hospitality. Thank you, Aqua Hotel, for a great stay!

Aqua liberty is a small, cozy hotel right in the heart of Tbilisi at liberty square. The area is lovely and buzzing at night, with major attractions and restaurants an easy walk away. Our room looked out over liberty square, which was really refreshing. Breakfast was nice, though it could use some changes from day to day. I’d recommend staying here if you want to be in the city center.

We had a confirmation for August 7 to August 11, and the hotel even replied when I texted to ask about airport transportation. But when we arrived, it was closed. Nobody answered when I tried to contact them. They should at least have told us the hotel would be closed during our stay. This easily avoidable mess cost us time and nerves.

The location was good, but the bedding was really frustrating. The bed seemed to be king-size, yet the sheets and duvet didn’t fit. I asked the staff three times to change them, and eventually they said they only had double sheets and duvets. With two of us sharing the bed, one person ended up sleeping on the bare mattress, which we found unacceptable. There were also two very bright blue LED control panels on the wall that couldn’t be switched off.
