It felt more like staying at home than being at a hotel. The hospitality was amazing, and I had a really good time with this Georgian family. Great choice for a solo traveler who wants that kind of stay. Thank you for everything, Ms. Maka, Mr. Alek, the great-grandpa, and lovely sister.

After a six-hour trip, we still couldn’t get any rest. The room turned out to be a dusty storage room, with no window or AC and some hotel things left inside. Its main door was transparent glass, which upset us. I had asked to see the room before paying, but the woman took the rent money right away and refused. When I called her later, she said she couldn’t do anything, then switched off her phone. We didn’t think the place was healthy, so we left after about 45 minutes to an hour. They returned only half the payment. The photos aren’t real, in my view. It was the worst experience I’ve had, and I’d be very careful booking here.

The view of Tbilisi from the front of the hostel is amazing, and the place is very clean with good facilities. The location is perfect. The dorm has no windows, though it does have two good toilets and bathrooms. Wi-Fi didn’t work in the dorm and was slow elsewhere. Some guests were very noisy, and staff went along with them instead of keeping things under control. One woman on staff made this my worst experience with hostel staff. She asked for extra money as a “penalty” and caused a lot of trouble for other guests.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It’s more of a homestay than a hotel, and the walkways go through the lower area where people already live. Not suitable for a family, and I can’t think of anything positive to say. I do wonder how it gets good reviews.
