Hostel Vake Garden

The five lovely cats in the garden were a real bright spot, and you could spend ages playing with them. The free washing machine with detergent was useful too. But the bathrooms were dirty, and the toilets seemed to almost never get cleaned. I know it's a hostel, but that still isn't normal. The older owner was rude, the blonde manager felt threatening, and the security was faulty. Awful hostel.

There's a huge kitchen, plenty of space, and fast WIFI. The hostel is outside the old town, which I actually liked. It felt like home to me, and I think it's the best place in Tbilisi. If you're heading to Mestia, ask Vaso about staying with one of his relatives there. That's another great place.

We had a great time here as a group for a few days in Tbilisi. The locals are really nice, though you should be ready to speak Russian or, of course, Georgian.

Staff are very kind, and the rooms are neat, clean, and nice. There are bunk beds as well as single and double beds. For an economical stay, this is a perfect place: one night costs 22 GEL.
