Hotel Araki SOLOLAKI

Mariam’s kindness made a real difference. She was warm, supportive, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We had a lovely stay at Araki Sololaki, with a beautiful, well-kept property and rooms that felt very comfortable. The whole atmosphere made it memorable, and we’d happily come back.

Ask to see the wine room, there’s an interesting history to the place. We also really enjoyed the generous breakfast, with plenty of flexibility. Our room was spacious and clean, with a nice porch, and worked well for a couple and our 16-year-old daughter. A quiet spot with friendly, helpful staff. Such a joy.

The hotel has done a lovely job combining modern touches with the building’s older features. It was clean, well located, and the breakfast was excellent. Lasha, the manager, communicated really well and was extremely helpful, and the rest of the staff were wonderful too. We had a fantastic stay at ARAKI Sololaki and would gladly return.

Luka was the one staff member who was genuinely helpful, and the location is good, close to the main spots. The rest of our stay was so disappointing that we left a night early and moved elsewhere. A woman at breakfast repeatedly made faces and muttered comments when we asked for Turkish coffee. At reception, a middle-aged man with glasses was rude, wouldn’t help my father and aunt, both over 65, carry their bags down the stairs, and later refused to store our bags even though we were coming back to the same hotel two days later and there was plenty of space. There were ants in both the bathroom and room, and housekeeping didn’t replace the towels or tea and coffee. After visiting more than 40 countries, this was among the worst staff experiences I’ve had. I was very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend staying here or return myself. Hotel staff should be trained to treat guests with hospitality and help.
