Hotel Rogalux

The bathroom and toilet had drainage problems, with water not moving properly. The washroom wasn't clean, and the bidet shower hose was too short. We also couldn't get a three pin plug, and the hotel didn't provide one. Our room hadn't been cleaned when we returned at night. The manager said many guests had checked out and only one person was available to clean, so it wasn't done. We left at 8am for an early flight, but the hotel couldn't arrange breakfast. The receptionist was very rude and didn't know how to treat customers. Breakfast was just pasta and bread, the same for all three days.

The staff were the one bright spot, supportive and good. The hotel building itself is average, the location is really bad, and there are no nearby restaurants or supermarkets. With no restaurant or room service at the hotel either, staying there could be inconvenient if you're new to the area. The rooms were nice, but the two single beds and mattresses pushed together for a couple were uncomfortable. The bathroom towels were very old and torn, and breakfast wasn't up to the mark.

We left and booked another hotel, but they wouldn’t give our money back. The place was freezing, with no heaters and, unbelievably, no blankets. I got cold right away. The room was filthy and smelled of cigarettes, and the bathroom smelled awful. The towels looked ancient and were dirty, and the mattress had split apart so I spent the first night wedged in the gap, if you can call that sleep. We could hear every car outside even after changing rooms. There was no breakfast or coffee, just the cheapest tea bags. It’s far from town, with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. Guests were drunk and shouting all night, and staff did nothing. I’ve never left a bad review before, but this was the worst experience of my life. Our travel agent booked it for us, and we’re so disappointed and angry.

The staff were really helpful, and our rooms had a lovely river view. They were spacious and had all the basic things we needed. Breakfast choices were limited, and it’s a little far from the old town. The facilities themselves were average.
