The owner had a note on the main door in the morning saying, โno rooms no hostel.โ The kitchen was also a disgusting mess after the owner's party the night before, with dirty dishes and cutlery everywhere and lots of rubbish. They hadn't cleaned up at all. A pan in the cupboard was greasy, as if someone had just splashed water on it and called it clean. The owner had been in the kitchen with some people until 11:20pm. I'm pretty sure they weren't hostel guests, though that part doesn't really matter. The duvet cover was completely torn, which is embarrassing for guests. It's probably cheap to replace, but they just need to put in the effort and get one. It may still be a decent deal since the rooms have private bathrooms, which isn't so obvious with comparable hostels. But those three things made me really dislike the place.

I stayed for a week on my own, and the owner was friendly. I might come back. It's a simple, no-nonsense place where you can come and go easily. There are facilities, a kitchen, good locker space, and places to work in the lobby and by reception. This could suit solo or budget travelers, people traveling for the first time, and couples, since they have private rooms. Quite a few people came and went, but it didn't seem like a party crowd. While I was there, everyone went to bed before 23:30. When I came back around 23:00-01:00, I was always the last one.
