M42

The hostel has bright, reasonably renovated facilities, nice showers, and balconies. I did wish there were more couches in the shared spaces on the second and third floors, and a bit more storage would help. Still, M42 was a lovely place to recharge during my travels, so much like a home that I kept extending my stay day by day. It's at the end of one of the city's up-and-coming, hip streets, giving it a tucked-away feel while staying near the action. I also fell for the little street market with its vegetables and fruit, and the traditional Georgian bakery. Just be ready to walk uphill and take in some great views. Some friends recommended M42 to me after I'd already spent time in charming Tbilisi. I think it's a great choice for solo travellers, couples, or groups.

The hostel is spotless, with housekeeping every day, comfortable beds, and quiet nights that make it easy to sleep. It has a good kitchen, plenty of big bathrooms, and a barbecue area for warmer weather. The staff are friendly and helpful. Many evenings we sat and chatted quietly with them and other guests over the hostel's homemade wine, played chess, and learned about Georgian culture and places to visit. It's one of the best hostels in Tbilisi, right beside part of Mtatsminda, with a view up to the iconic TV tower.

The rooms are thoughtfully designed, and the hostel is really comfortable, with friendly, considerate staff. You're in the city centre without being in one of the usual tourist areas, so it gives you a feel for everyday life in Tbilisi. I'd definitely recommend it.

It's clean, cozy, and comfortable, with welcoming staff who are ready to help. The hostel sits a little way up a hill, so there's a beautiful view across Tbilisi. The centre is still just a 10-minute walk away, and all the good cafes and places are nearby.
