The location gets busy, so street noise can be noticeable, though there are two mini markets right on either side and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. There’s no elevator, and you’ll need to carry your own luggage up the stairs since there isn’t a bellboy. The rooms were clean, with tea, coffee, and a kettle provided, and the washrooms had bidets or bidet showers, a useful feature since many places in the country don’t. Breakfast came around 8:30-9:00 a.m., a modest but tasty continental-style meal with some local touches. Our travel agent included the hotel in the tour booking. Good value for the money.

Getting around was convenient, with lots of places nearby, and it still felt quiet. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. From arrival onward, things felt relaxed and easy. I had a great stay and would come back, and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place.

The street is pleasant, with lots of restaurants and shops, and the hotel is simple and affordable. But my room was tiny and didn’t have a proper desk to work at. They only clean if you ask, since it isn’t a daily service. Breakfast was small but acceptable, though it doesn’t start until 8:30. Coffee was just instant powder in a sachet, and the iron they gave me had a burned foot, with no ironing board available. Definitely not a four-star hotel as advertised.

We were dissatisfied enough to leave and find another hotel. The place looked very outdated and in need of renovation, and the hotel was much farther from the location described online, which added to our frustration. We had booked a double room with a patio as listed on Booking.com, but even after I showed the confirmation on my phone, reception refused to provide it and insisted standard double rooms don’t have patios. When we arrived, nobody helped with our luggage. The front desk staff said all the helpers had been fired and offered to help himself, but added that “it’s not my job.” Not a welcoming start. I don’t understand the overly positive reviews that seem misleading, because our experience was the opposite. I wouldn’t recommend this place and hope other guests have a more honest and transparent booking experience.
