The hostel has now been renamed Rang Hostel. In my experience, the owner showed favoritism toward people from his community and toward girls. It was the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. The heaters didn’t work and there was no hot water in winter, even though I asked him several times to fix it. The bathroom had poor water supply, no lock, no shower head, no working flush, and the light didn’t work properly. That’s the room he had me stay in while saying he’d fix it. Water was leaking in the bathroom, and when I asked him to deal with it, he didn’t. It seeped through the floor downstairs. When I told him about that, he started shouting at me. If he’d fixed the leak in the first place, it wouldn’t have happened. There’s plenty more I could say, but I’ll leave it there. I’ve left the hostel for good. If I’d stayed, I feel like I’d have ended up a patient instead of a doctor by the time I graduated.

It’s a boys’ hostel now. The owner, dhawal, is very poor, in my opinion, at treating residents fairly. I found him biased toward his community and especially partial to South Indians in general. He seems focused on money. When something breaks in the hostel, it can take months to get fixed, and he only seems to act after repeated requests. The rooms aren’t good either. Before coming to Georgia, check your accommodation and university carefully. Don’t rely on agents, as they’re also in it for the money.

The staff were so lovely and attentive, and there was no issue with checking out late. We arrived at night and slept in very late, missing breakfast, but they still offered us some. It’s a budget hotel with a small car park and a big, clean room.

The rooms are roomy, and everything was very clean. The little garden outside is lovely. Reception is available around the clock and the welcome was friendly. Breakfast from the hotel, though, wasn't very good.

We got in at about 5 in the morning, and someone was still there waiting for us, which was a nice surprise. The room was okay, but the staff really made the stay. They were warm and attentive.
