Old Tbilisi Gate

It was spotless, though the sheets not being standard hotel white felt a little odd. The location is central and the neighborhood is pleasant for a walk, but the little streets can be confusing if you're in a rush. The room was cozy and tastefully decorated, with coffee and drinks included and fair minibar prices. I liked the bed firmness since I don't enjoy a mattress that's too soft.

The place has a good interior and the owner answers questions quickly on WhatsApp. The front door is secure, so we could come and go whenever we wanted. There was hot water around the clock, plus a microwave, fridge and washing machine. The main drawbacks are that payment is cash only and you have to request room cleaning. For coffee with milk, buy sachets at the nearby 24/24 supermarket, and you can get 1.5 litres of water there for 1 lari. The coffee in the room has no milk.

A real gem in the old part of Tbilisi. The rooms have a luxurious antique style, and the staff are friendly. It felt like home away from home, especially for families or couples, with things like a washing machine, microwave and fridge among the facilities.

There are five or six renovated apartments in a great spot between the old and new city. We were welcomed warmly, and everything was in very good condition.
