A characterful hotel with high ceilings, not the usual cookie cutter rooms. Itโs right in the center, with shops, restaurants, and a great massage spa close by. Staff are there around the clock.

Everything looked as good in person as it did online, maybe even better. I was only a few minutes from all the places I needed to be in Tblisi. Imeda gave me a warm welcome at check-in, the sheets were clean, and the balcony view was dreamy. The antique and modern mix felt straight out of a movie. Loved my stay ๐
The good location couldnโt make up for how uncomfortable the stay felt. The hotel is on main Shota Rustaveli Avenue, but the small entrance is easy to miss among the other signs. You have to punch in or ring the bell, then often wait for someone to open the door. The caretaker seemed to be missing many times, and staff spoke only basic English, enough for simple communication. Thereโs a small, rusty old lift that barely fits three people, let alone luggage. Thereโs no concierge, and when you get out of the lift it feels like youโre in an old residential house. The reception is at the end of a long hallway, so as a first time guest I felt lost. The common area near the entrance was pleasant and homely, though. Online check-in went smoothly. After signing the register and having our passports checked, we were shown to our junior suite, which was extremely small, with barely room to move around. The heating didnโt work properly on the first day. Someone dealt with it the next day, but the room got cold again a day later. Rooms arenโt cleaned unless you specifically ask in the morning before leaving, which is inconvenient. The sheets and quilts werenโt fresh and had multiple holes. Honestly, it was disgusting. At least there was hot water around the clock. Breakfast was the same set menu every day: bread, cheese, omelette, yoghurt, and khachapuri. Eating that combination over and over quickly became unbearable. Even school hostels offer more variety. Given the chance, I wouldnโt stay here again.
We felt so comfortable and relaxed here, even more than we often do at the 5 star hotels we usually choose. Rustaveli Hotel may be 3 star, but it felt like a 5 star home. The comfort, cleanliness, and atmosphere were beyond what we expected. The people made the stay especially memorable. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and kind from the moment we arrived. Luca and Saba deserve a special thank you for their professionalism and hospitality. This place has real warmth and heart. Weโll definitely return, and highly recommend Rustaveli Hotel to anyone after a comfortable, friendly, memorable stay.
It has the feel of a family run place, with every staff member welcoming you like family. The service was great, the room clean but small, and the hotel is close to Liberty Square and the Opera and Ballet, about a 5-10 minute walk. The one thing I didnโt like was the lift. Itโs very small and old, and using it made me feel like it could fall.
