We only stopped by to collect our luggage, but Dulat, the manager, made us feel very welcome. We’d asked if we could leave our bags there, and he kindly let us do it for free. We even hung around for a while when we came back for them. That says a lot about the place.
Really, really nice place. The owner is a good guy, and the atmosphere is friendly.
We found the apartment clean, well looked after, and equipped with what we needed, though there was no microwave. Its location is very convenient, parking is available in the courtyard, and the host was welcoming and on time. I’d happily recommend it.
Finding the hostel is confusing. There are no signs or directions, and with so many doors in the building it’s hard to know which to enter. Even the residents didn’t seem to know a hostel was there.
It’s an old house with newer additions, in a handy spot. All the attractions are close enough to walk to.
