The room’s private bathroom turned out to be shared with two other rooms on the terrace. There was also a shared hallway toilet for nine rooms, and it never had hot water. The kitchen was filthy and greasy. The room was right by the railway, so trains were loud and whistled during the day and night. I also felt unsafe. My room had two doors, and the father and son in the family kept looking through the window. Another guest had mentioned the same thing in a review on the booking platform. The terrace door wouldn’t lock, so I removed its outside handle myself to protect my things and feel a little safer. When I arrived, a young man who seemed to be a family member and didn’t speak English demanded an extra fee equal to the room rate just to provide a heater. I told him that was illegal and that I would report it, but he didn’t back down and was very rude. Booking.com support helped and compensated me with €10, so I decided to leave. I’d had a completely different experience from what the exaggerated reviews had led me to expect. It was a very disappointing and unsettling stay. Be careful with your choice.
