I booked four days. At first, the place seemed nice and in good condition, but the kitchen was dirty, the dishes weren’t washed, and they were still sitting there when I left. My biggest problem, though, was the housekeeper Nana. On the second day, she complained because I asked for toilet paper after it ran out. I told her I’d already bought some for myself, but needed it for me and my sister that evening. Then she shifted to other grievances and made a scandal of it. She also scolded me for not washing the dishes after her grandson’s breakfast. I’ve never been treated so rudely over something like that. Why should guests be expected to clean up after their hosts? The cutlery was very dirty, and dishes remained on the counter for all four days. She argued that previous guests had supposedly mixed up the dishes they left behind. The way she spoke to me, with unjustified anger and humiliating words and tone, was shocking and stressful. It felt like false hospitality and hypocritical politeness. The hostess said nothing else for the rest of my stay except a cold good morning, as if offended or in a bad mood. It was horrible to be treated that way as a customer. I wouldn’t advise anyone to risk a stay that becomes this stressful. The atmosphere got so bad that I didn’t even want to use the shared kitchen.

The house is quiet and very clean, with several rooms and terraces furnished with tables, beds, and a hammock. Wi-Fi was steady and fast enough, the showers had strong hot water, and the large kitchen had all the basics for cooking. There’s air conditioning for hot summer days, though I didn’t need it during my stay. The center is about 10 minutes away, and the shops are a little farther, near the market. The owner welcomed us very warmly even though we arrived late. I loved staying in a typical Georgian house with a terrace and mountain views. It’s also well placed for visiting the many spectacular abandoned sanatoriums nearby.

The people are the best, and the service is great.
