Being able to pay by card was handy for us. We also had a lovely meal, and the woman serving us was really friendly and spoke English well.

We came by for a snack, then returned for breakfast the next morning. The staff were lovely, and it was close to our hostel. We were short on cash, so it helped that this seemed to be the only place nearby taking cards.

After our Mestia to Ushguli hike, we stayed here at the top of town. For 100GEL per person, we got a room, breakfast, and dinner. The host said her cooking was good, and she was right. Everything was delicious, some of the best food we had in Georgia, and we even bought her homemade cookies for the journey back. The room was the weak point. We were in the side building, and those rooms could use renovation. Still, I’d happily stay here again if I returned to Ushguli.

Check the prices for every dish before ordering. They aren’t listed on the menu :) The ladies also add a very large fee for card payments, around 15%.

We only stopped for lunch and kubdari, we didn’t stay at the hotel. The bread was wonderfully crisp and the filling was delicious. It was probably the best one we had on the whole trip.
