Byblos Hotel

I felt right at home here and would definitely return. The staff were amazing, the location was fantastic, and everything was superbly clean. Thank you all for making my stay so perfect. God Bless you all.

We arrived to find the hotel overbooked, and they couldn't honor our reservation. The way they dealt with it was awful. We were kept waiting for hours, given lies, then taken to a different "hotel" that turned out to be an apartment complex showroom. After we rejected their questionable alternative, which would have cost us extra, they left us by the roadside in the dark and refused to take us back. Then they marked us as no-shows and tried to charge us for a service we never received. I'm still trying to resolve it with booking. If nothing goes wrong, perhaps it's fine, but when there's a problem like overbooking, the staff made a nightmare of it instead of sorting it out properly. I wouldn't stay here.

We paid $85 for two nights. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and there was WiFi. The room was clean and a decent size, with air conditioning, a safe, fridge, kettle, microwave grill, and a few complimentary drinks. But there was only one mug, bowl, and plate, which was awkward for two people. The bed squeaked loudly whenever either of us moved, and I suspect it might not have held up to much besides sleep 😂🙈. There were plugs on both sides of the bed, but just one central light, switched by the door. The large en suite had soap and shower gel, though the hot water took a while. There was no housekeeping during our stay and breakfast wasn't included. They have a card machine, but it wasn't working when we checked in, so bring cash.

I only stayed one night, but it was a really pleasant visit. The WhatsApp customer service line replied quickly and was helpful, and the staff at the counter were helpful too. I'd be happy to recommend a stay here :)
