Central Hotel - Osu

Ms Dedy at reception is always warm and welcoming, and the staff are well mannered and quick to help with customer needs. I strongly recommend staying here in Accra if you want somewhere that feels like home. The rooms are spacious, with good ventilation and natural light. They’re well equipped with a kitchen and the necessary utensils, so it works for either a short or a long stay.

What stood out for me was the staff’s attitude and willingness to help. My original hotel never showed up at the airport or answered the phone, and the Central hotel driver, Bless, helped me sort out that first problem. He represented the hotel wonderfully. I changed my booking to Central hotel, and I’m glad I did. It was great value for the price. The hotel is in a good spot in Osu, not far from the airport. It’s an older place with some charm in the rooms, but safe, secure, clean, and has comfortable beds. Mine was an apartment-style room with a kitchenette, handy for a longer stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I recommend the place.

The area is a big reason I’m giving it four stars instead of three. Several restaurants, boutiques, pharmacies, and department stores are within walking distance. The rooms are fine for the price, and the food is okay.

The restaurant is very small, with only three tables, so when it’s busy you might have to wait for breakfast. The menu is mostly local food. There are other places to eat nearby, including KFC and other fast food shops on Oxford Street, about a five-minute walk away. It’s a quiet, generally clean hotel in Accra’s business centre, with easy access to shopping along Oxford Street. Rooms are mid-range in price. For around USD 100 per night, you get a double room with a kitchenette, microwave, gas cooker, and kitchen utensils such as plates, spoons, cups, and knives. WiFi isn’t the fastest, but it’s enough for email and basic internet use.
