The peaceful feel and thoughtful hospitality made this such a lovely stay. Everyone was warm and genuinely welcoming, and the staff made sure I was comfortable. Akompa Village Guesthouse is close to the beach, so it has that relaxing coastal atmosphere. I stayed there during my July vacation in Elmina and enjoyed every bit of it. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re visiting and want to unwind by the coast.

We got in around midnight, but they still opened up, checked us in, and answered all our questions. The rooms are roomy and clean, and the air-conditioning kept working the whole time. Akomapa makes an impression even before you arrive, the signboard made it clear where I was going. If you're looking to explore and have fun, it's a great place to stay.

I’ve been here twice with my boss. There were so many mosquitoes in my room that I could barely get a decent nap. There’s no swimming pool, and they didn’t serve breakfast either, which was really disappointing.

We planned to stay one night, but ended up staying four. The ocean is only a minute away, and the staff are friendly. Jerry helped us a lot, taking us everywhere for much less than a regular taxi would cost.

Raskobby and his team were kind and helpful, and we might even have caught a dance and drumming performance by the Akomapa cultural group. The place is in a good spot for Elmina, about five minutes by car from town. You won't find many places much closer.
