Royal Elmount Hotel

I was impressed by the setting, pool design and water level, the staff, restroom and shower, and the jollof rice at the pool party last Thursday. I went swimming, though the pool floor felt slick with algae, and I felt that pointed to deficient water quality. By Saturday, after getting pool water in my nose, mouth, ears, eyes and elsewhere, I had a painful ear infection, sinus pain, severe runny nose and sore nostrils from wiping and blowing. I credit local remedies I was already using and continued using, including neem and lemongrass tea, basil, garlic and lavender oils, with sparing me a doctor visit. I'm still not fully recovered. The algae made me sick, and I appreciate the chance to share this feedback.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and there was a nice playground for the little one. The room was clean and adequate. Food was good, though nothing special, and the price seemed fairly reasonable.

Those rooms were top quality, and the compound was so spacious I really didn't feel like leaving.

I arrived at the restaurant to eat and was the only person there. Even so, I sat waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The food was good, but it wasn't properly done. A really bad experience, and I know I won't go back.
