Hotel Loreto

The pool was dirty, and one of the children with us had an allergic reaction to the water. His eyes swelled badly, as if he'd been hit. This place is falling apart, and customer service is nonexistent. They charge for everything, even though the pool isn't clean, and once the gate opens you're on your own. We won't be coming back. We were several families there yesterday, most of us from the diaspora community. They charged us as if we were renting a hall, but nobody helped us, and they charged children adult prices to use the pool. I needed a wine opener and had to push staff just to get a chance to ask you for one. When I got there, you didn't even greet me and seemed upset that I'd reached you. Your mother ended up helping instead. The staff seem afraid to bother you. We were the customers, and shouldn't have to put up with that attitude. Please take a customer service class before driving away the little business you might get. We might pass by, but that's all. If you don't like being disturbed, you shouldn't be in hospitality.

This time we tried Loretta with family and friends for a Cape Coast weekend, and it was great. The hillside views are lovely, and it has an outdoor pool. There are restaurants nearby, including Chicken Man and KFC, and Kakum Park and Elmina are close too. Good location, service, and price. The team, including the manager, were amazing. I suspect they'll be seeing me again soon. Thanks, guys!

We arrived to find that the rooms we'd booked had been given to other people, so we looked at the rooms that were still available. The place was dirty and poorly maintained, with paint peeling off the walls and cloudy-looking pool water. The workers seemed reluctant to help.

I called to book a room for a week with my work team. The receptionist said he was busy and couldn't go through the prices with us. He told us we could either message him or not bother calling, since he was occupied.
