It looks great after a recent renovation, and the beach views and location are lovely. It’s a nice place to find some calm and get away from city life. Prices are at resort level, but it’s a great spot day or night, with regular events and international guests. The beach and bar guests are generally friendly. I haven’t stayed in the rooms or tried the new menu, so I can’t rate either. The room photos look fab, though.

The setting is beautiful, the rooms are excellent, breakfast is included and delicious, and I liked the staff. The restaurant is very expensive. When I asked about a taxi to Elmina, they gave me bad information about the cost, presumably to steer me to their own offer, which was ten times the price of a one-way Uber. There was loud 2000s club music late at night. I do appreciate that some locals were enjoying themselves there.

We ordered food while we were at Kakum National Park, and it was ready and yummy by the time we arrived. The location is great, within walking distance of the castle, and you can see and hear the sea waves while dining. It feels like a joke away from home.

We stayed for three days. It’s the only hotel in the center of cape coast by the sea, and the staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the food good. But the owners and management need to decide whether this is meant to be a party bar and restaurant or an expensive hotel. Most nights, two speakers played different loud songs at once, making conversation impossible. The room prices are very high, even by West African standards. Booking.com only shows the most expensive rooms, while the cheaper ones are available only through the hotel’s own website. You can hear the loud music in your room until midnight. If management wants to keep the music, they should honestly lower the prices. The facilities, food, and location don’t justify what they charge, and we expected better. It was also strange and very unusual that breakfast drinks weren’t included.

Please be very careful if anyone working here approaches you about buying land in Ghana. An employee and an associate of the hotel scammed me. They persuaded me to buy land in koforidia, Cape Coast, and I’ve been trying to get my money back for almost 6 months. They’re extremely charming and crafty when convincing people to buy. If anyone working for this hotel tries to sell you land, report it to the authorities immediately.
