Mornings are especially peaceful, since most guests seem to arrive later in the day. It’s a tidy beach spot with clean facilities and kind service. The food is fresh and tasty, and Chez Justine has a small, carefully chosen menu made with local ingredients. The plantains are delicious! There’s also a nice playground for young kids.

There’s a huge, well-kept lawn for football, volleyball, badminton and other outdoor games, plus a playground and table tennis. The summer huts, library and beach all had clean, tidy seating areas. We visited last weekend with the children and had a fantastic time. Staff welcomed us warmly and were friendly, helpful and well informed throughout. Our room was spotless, the interior and balcony looked lovely, and everything worked. The food was delicious and came right when we’d ordered it. Billing was prompt and correct too. We’ll definitely be back soon.

The sea view is lovely, but what a waste. I was staying next door and came to Sankofa for breakfast, only to be charged an entrance fee per person just to sit in the restaurant. The prices were unreasonably high, and the staff seemed completely bored. Politeness didn’t seem to be part of the job. We were the only four customers and still waited almost two hours for our omelettes. They also wouldn’t give us the WiFi password because it’s apparently for room guests only. Try to avoid it.

We went for breakfast and waited an hour and a half to eat, even though we were the only customers. They also wouldn’t share the WiFi password, despite charging an entrance fee for everyone who comes onto the facilities.

The food is good and the service is too. It’s nice to see a restaurant with real ambition, and whoever’s running the kitchen seems smart 👍 The 30 GHS entrance fee makes sense since they collect the beach rubbish every day. Still, I’d waive it for people ordering food or drinks, because some visitors don’t understand the charge and complain. At least explain what it covers so they can accept it. One building tip: don’t put plywood under a palm leaf roof. Moisture can’t escape underneath, so it rots quickly and grows white fungus.
