After more than 100 trips and over 100 hosting experiences, my stay at Eddie’s AMP Lodge was the worst Airbnb experience I’ve had. I know an apartment under ¢500 won’t be the most comfortable or clean place in Kumasi, but Eddie’s lack of honesty and basic service was unacceptable. The Airbnb listing showed Nhyiaeso, a prime location downtown. After I booked, Eddie sent a different address on WhatsApp, saying there was an issue with the listing address and I should use this one. It took me to Abuakwa, 20 km and a 40-minute drive away. That felt like fraud. When I complained about the wrong location, Eddie was rude and called the police to evict me after I had checked in and was in the shower. The police saw through what he was doing and offered me the chance to file a case against Eddie. You don’t need to go through what I did, but you can take the risk yourself. Be safe. There was no Wi-Fi. The lodge is in the middle of nowhere, so you have to walk to town or wait for a tuk tuk. It’s right next to a church, sharing a wall, and if you know Kumasi churches, you know you won’t sleep that night.

The products arrived on time and matched their description exactly. It was a great experience buying from this seller, and I highly recommend them!

Security at the place is poor. After staying there, I was attacked by robbers, which was really bad.
