Coco Ocean Resort & Spa

On my second visit to the Coco Ocean Spa, I tried the "Discovery Day" package with a Hammam steam bath, scrub, massage, and facial. It was heavenly, and the spa still feels world-class. Sunna did my facial and scrub. She was professional, took her time, and was never rushed. Her extraction technique was incredible, very experienced, and as painless as possible. I also had two massages during the stay. Mariama was a standout: kind, communicative, and professional, with a knack for finding knots and adding just the right stretches. That massage felt transcendent. For a high-end, professional spa experience, this is easily the best in the area. We stayed in the Beach Club rooms, which were spotless, almost insect-free, and had a calming, spa-like feel. The private patio was a highlight, furnished with couches and tables and a great place to unwind. The hotel grounds and beach are stunning, and guests can use the beach cabanas for free, which adds a lot of value. The hospitality was second to none. Hotel Manager Mr. Camara is a gentleman who runs a very hospitality-first operation. His professionalism shows in the friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The beachside restaurant has great food and cocktails, and there's a huge beach with several pools for swimming laps. The spa is beautiful and affordable, though arranging a massage at short notice can be difficult.

The day pass at the coco ocean really wasn't worth the money, and it was heartbreaking to see this at a 5-star hotel. We waited two full hours for food, and when it came, it was awful, all leftover food. The drinks were no better, our order included leftover pineapple and didn't taste good at all. Service was poor, and they need to learn how to communicate with clients. I wouldn't recommend spending your time or money here. I hope this helps.

The staff were friendly, and the beach location is good, about 25 to 30 minutes from the airport. In my room, the hot water was only warm, insects turned up now and then, and there wasn't a proper work desk.
