Djeliba Resort

We visited in October, when the weather was still fantastic, and had a great stay at this hotel on the Smiling Coast of the Gambia. The staff worked hard to make us comfortable and were very helpful throughout. If your budget allows and you have the choice, I'd recommend a suite. They're awesome!

I booked four rooms for my team for two nights, but one of our business partners wasn't allowed in to work with us. That felt utterly disrespectful. I wonder if we'd have been treated differently if we were white, even though this is an African country. The hotel Director was unprofessional and made no effort to accommodate us. Don't go there.

Good spot for heading to the beach or town. The pool is nice, with a bar right in it 🙂. There are different room types; mine was a really good, big superior room. Breakfast was a nice mix of Gambian and English food, and the staff were nice. The one bad point was the wifi. There wasn't any in my room 🙁

The place is nice and the staff were friendly, but my team was disrespected and wasn't accommodated as it should've been. I won't go back. Read the hotel's response. What a big lie. This isn't about whether external guests have IDs. Our guests showed theirs and still weren't allowed in. So rude.
