I spent half an hour waiting for a menu at Kunta Kinteh Beach, then another half hour before anyone came to take my order. When the waiter finally showed up, he sat beside my mother on her sunbed while she was lying there, then spoke to me like a street buddy, with no manners or respect. I asked him to act properly and take the order. He got aggressive and arrogant, and seemed completely out of control. It was a horrible experience, and that kind of behavior is unacceptable and embarrassing. It reflects badly on Gambian hospitality and makes it look as if staff aren't supervised or held to any standards. I won't return. I'd advise others to avoid the place until management takes serious action, whether that's training or replacing employees.

For us, this is the best restaurant around Kotu. The seafood is great, the Gambia dishes are nice, and there's plenty more to choose from. The staff are especially friendly. We'll be back.

The beach view is lovely, and the food servers were helpful and really friendly. The pool was smaller than I expected, though it's quite deep. The lifeguard was rude and argumentative, even with children.

We didn't stay in the lodges, but looked around and used the facilities there every day. The beach has lovely clean yellow sand and great water. You sometimes see locals fishing, and they're very helpful about explaining what they've caught. There's also a pool and a shop with a good range of products at great value. The food was awesome, with lots of choice and fantastic flavours, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We even met Chris Eubank, who was doing some helpful serving, well, a very good lookalike, not really him.

Food was nice, prices fair and service great, except for "B Colley". He was by far the rudest person I've met in Gambia. Everyone else I've met has been lovely, so it's such a shame this guy seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed.
