Colinas Hotel

I know Malabo well and think Colinas is the best hotel in the capital. I stayed for nearly two weeks, and when I return to Malabo, I’ll choose it again. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping takes good care of them. Reception is helpful whenever you approach them, and the restaurant staff are friendly and welcoming, though the food and drinks are a bit overpriced. Room service and laundry are excellent. Pradeep, who manages room service, was attentive and friendly, checking throughout my stay that I was comfortable.

The rooftop has a pool and bar, and the property is well maintained. My room was large and comfortable. The food choices were poor, though, and the staff seemed unfriendly.

I don’t understand why WhatsApp is blocked on the hotel WiFi. You can still use it by installing a VPN app, so that restriction seems pointless. Maybe they want to track calls and texts? Room service also leaves a lot to be desired.

I’ve tried nearly all the hotels in Malabo because I travel there often for business, and Colinas was the best experience and the cleanest. I spent almost two weeks there and would definitely stay again. The reception team is friendly, and room service staff are dedicated. The restaurant is good, but a bit overpriced. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malabo. Thanks to the whole team for their attention, especially Pradeep, who was very attentive and made sure my stay was pleasant.
