Acharavi Beach Hotel

It was clean and quiet, and we weren't disturbed. The room was decent, and breakfast was good and varied. Still, quite a few things seriously affected our stay. The biggest issue was the restaurant service. Staff were especially unfriendly, and in the middle of a meal they made us move tables for no apparent reason. At dinner, a bottle of water cost €3 and they insisted on immediate payment, which spoiled the meal. The evening menu was repetitive, mostly pork, with very little fish or chicken and hardly anything for people who don't eat meat. The food also didn't seem fresh, which was disappointing. Our room's pool was freezing and unusable. At the shared pools, staff shouted at guests when closing time came. There were ants in the room, and too many mosquitoes outside to enjoy the terrace. On Sundays housekeeping didn't clean the rooms or change the sheets, which is unacceptable for a so-called four-star hotel. Beach sunbeds weren't included either, they cost €6 per person. We weren't told about the €70 tax before arriving. Getting to the room was easy because a small vehicle took us there, but when we left, nobody helped with the luggage. We had to carry it ourselves in 40°C heat. The hotel has potential because it's clean and peaceful, but the service, dinners, room upkeep, and general care for guests need serious improvement.

The food was very good, though breakfast and dinner got really loud with so many people at the buffet. Vissalo's rooms are lovely and comfortable; I can't comment on the older part of the hotel. Staff were friendly, and the cleaning team did a great job. It's a nice hotel with a big garden and direct beach access. There are also two pleasant little restaurants if you don't want the included dinner. There's not much else around that area.

Both pools have paddling pools, so it's kid-friendly. The food was really good, and the staff were top quality. The hotel is very well organized and happy to help with things like arranging a birthday party or extending your time before the bus comes to pick you up. Just keep in mind that the pools aren't heated, so bad weather can be an issue.

There are two restaurants in the complex, and both serve good food. Breakfast was tasty with lots of variety, and the whole place felt clean and well organized. The hotel is in a good location with nice amenities, including four big pools and a beach with sunbeds and umbrellas.
