Meltemi Hotel

Hotel Meltemi is in an excellent spot, close on foot to shops, restaurants, and the port, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are fine, though the bathroom needs work: there's no shower door or holder for the shower hose, so it's awkward to use. Breakfast was disappointing, with very limited choices and little variety. It's convenient for the location, but there's room for improvement.

Meltemi Hotel is nicely located near the Milos SeaPort at Adamantas, and that helped make up for the small rooms and tiny shower. We arrived on 30th October 2025, when most Milos hotels and restaurants were closed for the season. We weren't told in advance that the pool and breakfast would also be closed during our visit, from 30th October to 2 November 2025. The elderly woman at the desk tried to help us find somewhere to eat, but with the language barrier we had to communicate through gestures and the little we knew of several languages. Being close to the port also meant street noise from vehicles and people. It was a nice enough stay, but could have been better if we'd known about the closures beforehand.

My experience was terrible. I booked based on the website reviews, but they didn't match what I found. This felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel, with 11 old rooms, cracked walls, worn beds, no outlets beside the bed, and a bathroom with a tiny sink, no shower stall, and nowhere to put personal hygiene items. The worst part was the cold showers. I complained several times at the front desk, including to the person in charge, but nothing was done. It seemed clear the water heating system was too small, and that the electric heater wasn't turned on to save energy. Breakfast was very basic, with little variety and no refilling of items. There was no receptionist. The same person served breakfast and cleaned the rooms, and the quality of both services showed it. I absolutely do not recommend this place. There are plenty of nearby hotels with better quality at similar prices.

The quiet pool was a real plus for an afternoon break after exploring, and the location is hard to beat: close to restaurants, a great bakery, the bus stop, and only a five-minute walk from the port. Pokémon Go fans can also reach three gyms and two or three PokéStops from the hotel. The room is basic, with no outlets by the bed, and the bathroom looks dated and could use an update. Breakfast is pretty basic too, and the pastries were dry, though at least breakfast is included. For what you get, it feels expensive.
