I visited at the end of August. The renovated rooms were lovely and very clean, and the owner was polite. The place is quiet, with plenty of parking, and sits on the road to the main attractions. The port is just a five-minute walk away.

For the price, the hotel was okay, though the beds were so uncomfortable that sleeping was almost impossible. We were told towels would be replaced every two days, but during our three-night stay nobody came to take the rubbish or bring fresh towels or sheets. We had to remind them on our last night. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out too.

The location is convenient, even without a sea view. The bus stops and port are about five minutes on foot, and restaurants and supermarkets are close by. The owner was kind and helpful, and the service and cleanliness were better than I expected. Veletas rooms was probably the best place I could have asked for.

The apartments were clean and cute, with lovely decor. The host was nice and had good recommendations, and the place is near the city centre and one of the island's main roads. Just be aware that they only take cash.

The room smelled bad, and the bathroom felt claustrophobic, with the ceiling only a few inches above your head. What they call a garden looks out onto cars parked above. Worst of all, the old innerspring mattress was painful. The owner was completely unprofessional, and the information she gave was misleading.
