Castello Bianco Aparthotel

Castello Bianco was much better than I expected for the price. Everyone on staff was kind and ready to help. The buffet seems small at a glance, but you can order plenty of hot breakfast choices. There’s lots of free parking, and the beach, restaurants and a few shops are all close by.

Vasilis really made this hotel feel special. When our transfer home went wrong, he called the company and drove us himself to the pickup point. He was so easy to talk to, friendly, kind, and clearly puts his heart into the job. We felt like king and queen, and so welcome. We’re grateful for his care and can’t wait to come back next year so our new daughter can meet her Greek uncle and new friend. Earlier, we’d been put in a room with stairs, which was very difficult for my pregnant girlfriend because of her disability. The manager noticed and upgraded us to a lovely room without stairs. It saved our vacation. The rooms were always clean and nice, and any problem was dealt with right away. Castello Bianco is a beautiful local hotel in a good location. It isn't a five star hotel, but the people working there make it feel that way. Breakfast was included and excellent. There’s a pool bar for snacks and hot or cold drinks, with really good service. The location is handy, with public transport and everything else nearby, and the staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast tastes good and kept me going until dinner, though the choice is limited and the machine coffee is awful. For the price, the bathroom is acceptable, even if it looks like it could use some renovation. I did find cockroaches. The pool's glass walls made me feel like a fish in a tank, visible to the other hotel and restaurant guests. My room had no cheap instant coffee or tea bags, and housekeeping didn't replace the cups or glasses. A good place if you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel.

We stayed here on holiday a year ago, and we're back on holiday now still talking about how good the place was. It seemed only fair to finally leave a review. After the long journey, we got a drink and could relax by the pool while checking in. We were upgraded to a huge two-bedroom apartment. They did a little cleaning each day and left the next day's menu. The food was so good that we ate there several times. The pool was great, and the beach is very close. Everyone working there was lovely and helpful. If we come to Crete again, we’ll definitely stay here.
