We did enjoy our stay as a group of six, and the animation team and the girls at the pool bar were lovely. Lilianna and Panagotia were friendly and chatty, the service was quick, and the pool bar food was good. The main restaurant buffet was very good too, with loads of choice. The entertainment was okay, and the guys were friendly and at least gave it a try. For what we paid, though, just okay wasn't enough. There were cleanliness problems, including dead ants left after they'd been treated with quite a lot of insect killer, and unfinished repairs like the hole in the back of the bathroom door. The main bar at night was where things fell apart. From 8 until midnight, you'd be lucky to get two drinks, and they weren't good when they arrived. There was no table service, and the man behind the bar scowled when you went up to order. I've run bars for 26 years, so I'm not saying they weren't trying, but something needs attention. Maybe move the two lifeguards who spent all day hiding behind the pool bar and put two more staff on the bar at night, just a thought.

The restaurant staff were lovely, and the cleaners were nice and did a great job. But I can't agree this deserves five stars. I've stayed at plenty of five-star hotels in Greece, and this felt more like a three-star place. The drinks had no taste, and the food seemed to be reused between lunch and dinner. It was the same every meal, without much warmth or freshness. For me, it wasn't a luxurious five-star experience.

At Asterias Beach Resort, everything was clean and well organized, and the staff were so kind and helpful. A special thank you to Christos, Alex, Georg at reception, and Marina and Mariaelena from the main restaurant. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it! 🌊

The pool was a good size, and the entertainment staff were lovely. A nearby bus stop made it cheap to get to Rhodes old town and the surrounding areas. But the rooms were very basic, and for a property this size I expected more food options. We ended up eating at the buffet every night because the other restaurant was fully booked for our entire stay. Getting a sunbed felt like the Olympics, you had to be there early to secure one. Given the cost, the room and food let it down for me, and I wouldn't call it a five-star hotel.

We were delighted with the room after upgrading to a sea view for our two-week stay. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the whole hotel felt clean and fresh. Staff were always smiling, welcoming, and ready to help. A big shout-out to Marina (the waitress) and Panacottia (bar staff), who went above and beyond for us. I'd absolutely recommend it for a relaxing holiday.
