The rooms were very clean, and I want to make that clear. Even so, the bathroom, especially the shower, was extremely small compared with the photos. The terrace had no partitions, so the neighbors could see the sea through my space. That lack of privacy really affected how relaxed I felt. I chose a sea-view room hoping for some peace, but a noisy generator from a nearby restaurant disturbed me every day until well after 10:30 PM. I couldn’t open the window peacefully in the evening or morning. The poor sound insulation around the doors and hallway also meant I heard a snoozing alarm in the next room for about an hour each morning. There were safety concerns too. One evening I saw an explosion or short circuit with sparks. The owner said it was a transformer, but it didn’t feel safe. During a full power cut another evening, there was no lighting or communication from the hotel. Guests had to use their phones as flashlights, and by the end of the day their batteries were usually nearly empty. The owner said outages happen often in the area, but the hotel seemed unprepared. The following evening there was no hot water because he had forgotten to switch the boiler on again after the outage. He called it "forgotten work." I would have expected a proper routine to prevent essential things being missed if power cuts are a regular occurrence. The electricity only worked when the key was in a holder about a meter from the door, while the door itself had a traditional lock. So to keep the air conditioning on, I either had to leave the door unlocked or lock it, remove the key, and leave it in the holder overnight. I chose the first option for evacuation safety, which meant sleeping with the windows open and dealing with extra noise. My request for another key or for the key and electricity systems to be separated was refused. I also found the owner in my room without permission. The first time, he said he was "helping with cleaning," though two cleaners were already there, and he left as soon as I walked in. Another time he said that, as the owner, he had the right to keep an eye on his staff. I found this an unacceptable breach of privacy. I immediately emailed all my complaints to the owner, and he confirmed them in writing, so there should be no doubt that these things happened. Despite the clean rooms, the serious problems, lack of quiet, poor management, and safety risks made this a bad stay. I cannot recommend it. I even changed hotels halfway through, though I had paid in full. The beach chairs shown in the photo belong to a restaurant and can be rented for a fee.

We’d happily stay here again if we came back to Naxos. The hotel is right by the beach, with bars and restaurants along the coast just a few steps away, and the price felt good for what we got. Our room was spacious and clean, with a lovely terrace looking out over the sea and sunset. The owners made a homemade breakfast with a nice selection, and we were completely satisfied. A great place for a laid-back holiday, and one I’d recommend.

You can see the sea from the terrace, and the beach is very close. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were kind, and breakfast was well worth having. We had a lovely, cozy stay in Naxos and definitely recommend it. We couldn’t have chosen better!

This family-run hotel is cozy and works well for a short or longer stay, though there’s no kitchen in the rooms. What makes it stand out is the family caring for it. The mother embroidered the guests’ pillow covers in the late mornings after preparing the breakfast buffet. I saw the father getting the kitchen ready and cleaning it, while their son managed the property. They make you feel at home. It’s right across from the beach, and the shaded trees are a lovely alternative to renting daybeds. They’ll also lend you umbrellas for the day at no charge. We’d love to return and stay longer.

They seem to love what they do, and there’s a different upgrade every year. It’s nice seeing your money put to good use. Thanks! This small family hotel is a great place to relax, with a tasty home-cooked breakfast and everything you might need close by.
