Agios Prokopios Hotel

The one thing I missed was a shared room where guests could hang out, play cards, or spend the evening together. There is a small breakfast room, but it closes after 10 a.m. The hotel itself is great, just steps from the beach and good restaurants, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

A modest, quiet hotel near the beach, with lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and the towels were changed every day. Breakfast was modest, and since we don't eat pork or milk, cheese, or yogurt, our choices were limited. Still, there was enough for us, including salad, eggs, and bread. Walk across the parking area and say hello to the chickens.

The hotel is within a five-minute walk of the beach, which was one good point. The staff were friendly enough, but the property felt run down and poorly maintained. There was a strange smell, something like old meat, that lingered in the room for days. Hot water took ages to arrive, and sometimes we waited up to 15 minutes for a warm shower. We booked a double bed suite but got two single beds pushed together, which was frustrating as a couple. The price reflects what you get. The stay was okay, but I wouldn't return.

We loved our stay, especially the location. It's a short walk to the beach and the town's many restaurants, and the bus is nearby for trips to Naxos town or the ferry port for just a few Euros. The room was comfortable enough, and the service was helpful and friendly. This was the midpoint of our vacation, so we used the laundry service, but a few shirts came back ruined by dryer marks.
