Alkistis Mykonos

The hotel could use some updates. We had ants in our room, and the walls are very thin. The location is great, about 10 minutes by bus from the old port, and there’s a very clean beach right across the street.

The beach is right across the street, with a nice restaurant and store next door. We could rent a car for 55 Euros and go all over. Of the three other hotels we stayed at during our 11 days, this was easily the best. The service was great, breakfast was yummy, and the rooms were spacious, with extra pillows and a blanket. The AC worked great, and the view was awesome.

It’s a quieter spot away from the busy tourist and party areas, though a bit outside Mykonos City. You can get into town by bus without much trouble. The beach and pool are easy to reach, and breakfast was very good with plenty available. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was there for work and they did a great job helping arrange transfers to and from the airport where I was working. A great place to stay if you want somewhere calmer.

Breakfast overlooking the sea was lovely, though there are only a few sunbeds by the pool. It gets very windy, and the nearby beach is clean but the wind blows sand everywhere. You can ask reception for a hair dryer and beach towels. The TV has a Smart TV function, but it isn’t available, so you can’t turn anything on. Screen sharing doesn’t work either.
