Lefteri's Rooms

The communal kitchen is fully equipped, so you can fix breakfast and eat out on your terrace with those wide views over the Libyan sea. My room had coffee facilities, an ensuite bathroom, and really good bedding and towels. It was newly renovated, pleasantly decorated, and completely clean. Every room has its own lovely balcony view, and the rates are great value. Lefteris greeted us with a sunny smile and a raki. The building sits on a quiet road just above the beach, so it felt peaceful and relaxing, with no noise. We enjoyed it enough that I’m sure we’ll come back.

Lefteris was so helpful, even letting us cook some vegetables in his kitchen and pointing us toward the best beaches. My wife and I spent last week in Agia Galini, staying in a spotless, well-arranged room with a lovely view. The location worked really well, with the harbor only a few minutes away and a mini market, tavernas and cafes nearby. I’d recommend it if you want good value for a stay in southern Crete.

I stayed for 21 days and didn’t find myself short of anything. Lefteris was just a phone call away whenever he wasn’t at the airbnb, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The air conditioning was brilliant, and fresh bedding and towels were available whenever needed. My private balcony looked out to sea, and there was plenty of storage, including bedside tables with individual nightlights. The room also had a mini fridge freezer, TV, and a kitchenette with a two ring stove and cookware. Everything was kept immaculate and felt secure. The private bath, shower and toilet were exceptionally clean. You’re right by the harbor, beach and restaurants, and the village supermarket is about 30 seconds from the front door if you don’t want to walk farther. I can’t rate the accommodation, host and value highly enough. Prices will surely increase for 2018, so I’d book soon to avoid missing out. Five stars all round, including for the village.

Lefteris made sure my family had a great time, and I’m grateful to him for it. He was thoughtful and very welcoming, and the rooms were clean. When I come back to Crete for a vacation, I’ll certainly stay here again.
