My first solo holiday went so well, and this hotel was a big part of that. It’s in a quiet spot, about a five-minute walk through the village shops and restaurants to the coast, and the pool was clean and sunny all day. The staff were lovely throughout and made a point of chatting with me. At check-in, one of the reception ladies was welcoming and helpful, and within five minutes I was checked in and shown where I could leave my suitcase. After that, I got a quick look at the main areas, including the breakfast space and pool. My room was cleaned to a high standard every day, and the balcony had half mountain and half sea views. Breakfast each morning had pastries, ham, cheese, vegetables, fruit, cereal, coffee, and juice. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Crete and want a peaceful base.

I really enjoyed my stay at Petra Hotel. The room layout gave me plenty of privacy, and I could hardly hear the other guests. Breakfast was served by the pool, with a nice view to enjoy alongside it. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

The staff were so nice and friendly, honestly a six-star experience for me! Best hotel stay I've ever had. If you're heading to Kreta, I really recommend this place, especially if you're a happy-minded kind of person ;)

The owner and staff were friendly and very willing to help, and the pool was great. Getting around is easy if you don't mind a few stairs. The rooms are comfortable, and having a fridge in the room was handy, though the bathrooms in the older part of the hotel have some issues. Our air conditioning didn't work, but we weren't bothered by it. Breakfast was simple but fine, and the coffee was great.

The room was fairly quiet, and the pool looked nice. This is a decent budget hotel, though I probably wouldn't stay again. We had to ask at reception for the AC remote, since it wasn't kept in the room, which seemed very strange and was a first for us while traveling. There was no hot water at night, although it was available in the morning. The room had an odd smell, probably from a clogged drain. Breakfast was mediocre and the coffee poor, though at least there were some vegetables.
