The house is on the older side, though it has a nice pool inside. Everything else was good, but I think the price should be a little lower given the age of the place.

We paid 1,600 euros for six days in October 2022 and chose to stay because the villa's basic layout was still reasonably good and moving during our busy schedule sounded like a hassle. We also hoped there would be fair compensation. At the time, the location mattered a lot to us, and finding similar luxury accommodation at short notice would not have been easy. Before the trip, communication was good, and the staff member we met at the property was very friendly. On arrival, though, we found half-dissolved paper tissues all over the pool, apparently thrown in by a previous guest. The pool guy was meant to come, but missed that appointment and the later one too. At 8 pm we were told he would come the next day. Given how short our stay was, we felt that was poor service and raised it with our host, who took it seriously and notified the person responsible for the property. That person came the following day at noon and was pleasant, but there was no real fix. Skimming the water for 15 minutes was not going to solve it. We were assured the water was safe, and we don't dispute that, but the pool was still unpleasant to look at. The bigger issue was the condition of the villa. This wasn't just a missed sweep: there were dusty areas that clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time, cobwebs, loose silicone, and dirty windows. The extractor hood was broken and seemed to have been that way for over three months. The dishwasher and electric hob only partly worked. We reported this straight away. The person in charge acknowledged the problems and said the villa would soon get a makeover. That's all well and good, but we were staying there then. When we asked why it was so dirty, we were told the cleaner only had four hours and couldn't do everything. That's not our problem. The place should be clean, and if four hours isn't enough, the cleaner should be given more time. We were told we could move, but finding somewhere else at short notice wasn't realistic. The host said there would be a compensation proposal, but nothing concrete came. After asking three times, I received an email stating an amount would be refunded, without any discussion or approval from us. We still disagree with that outcome. We tried to contact the rental company through a new claim, but they didn't respond. We then asked Airbnb for help. At first things moved quickly, but then we were told the owner was considered to have done enough by refunding 20 percent, whatever the circumstances or how poor the stay had been. For the villa's current condition, 1,600 euros is too much, even if it isn't a huge amount for a villa generally. Some information on this site also seems inaccurate. For instance, the pool circulation pumps have apparently been off for years. The villa should not be rented at this price, with these photos, in its present state. I'm shocked Airbnb considers this acceptable.
